A seasoned embedded security professional with a proven track record of supporting secure microcontrollers and flash memory solutions. My career began at NXP and Spansion, where I gained extensive experience working directly with customers to integrate and optimise secure hardware components into their embedded systems. I developed a strong understanding of hardware-based security mechanisms, cryptographic primitives, and secure boot architectures during this time. Here at EPS, I lead our secure provisioning services for semiconductors, providing technical expertise and support to customers developing secure products. My focus areas include firmware encryption, identity authentication, secure microcontrollers and processes to securely provision semiconductors.

Prof. John Goodacre, University of Manchester, Director Digital Security by Design: UKRI

John is Professor of Computer Architectures at the Department of Computer Science, The University of Manchester in the UK having previously spent 17 years with Arm Ltd as the Director of Technology and Systems where he defined and introduced the first multicore processors and other widely deployed technologies. He is also appointed by UK government's Research & Innovation agency as the Director of the Digital Security by Design, a £200M programme to enable industry and researchers to create a step change in approach to cybersecurity, blocking vulnerabilities by design and protecting the operation and data by default. His research interest includes new processing paradigms, web-scale servers, exascale efficient systems and secure and ubiquitous computing.

Haydn is the Founder & CEO of SCI Semiconductor, developing next-generation devices with CHERI technology, a secure computing solution backed by the US and UK governments and global universities. He serves on the Executive Steering Board of the IoT Security Foundation, driving security best practices and legislation across the UK, EU, USA, Japan, and beyond. With over 25 years in senior roles at leading tech companies, including a decade at ARM Holdings, Haydn led security strategy for IoT, mobile, and computing. His work at ARM helped define the security in most mobile phones today, enabling secure banking, transactions, and communications.
